The following list defines the process for creating a timetable:

Set up courses for block matrix in the Curriculum module:
- The Include in Block Matrix check box must be selected for the Unit Instance
- The Status for the Unit Instance Occurrence must be set to 'Active (Curriculum)'
- Create the matrix on the Matrix screen
- Assign groups to courses on the Groups Overview screen
- Identify and correct clashes on the Clashes screen
- Load balance applications or enrolments on the Load Balancing screen
- Resolve learners with no viable course permutation by doing one of the following:
- Modifying the matrix and/or adding additional groups for one or more of their courses
- Discussing alternative courses with the learner, and then making the appropriate changes
- Adjust learner timetables using rules on the Load Balancing screen
- Generate the timetable
- Allocate learners to groups
