Use Block Matrix

The following list defines the process for creating a timetable:

Set up courses for block matrix in the Curriculum module:
- The Include in Block Matrix check box must be selected for the Unit Instance
- The Status for the Unit Instance Occurrence must be set to 'Active (Curriculum)'
Create the matrix on the Matrix screen
Assign groups to courses on the Groups Overview screen
Identify and correct clashes on the Clashes screen
Load balance applications or enrolments on the Load Balancing screen
Resolve learners with no viable course permutation by doing one of the following:
- Modifying the matrix and/or adding additional groups for one or more of their courses
- Discussing alternative courses with the learner, and then making the appropriate changes
Adjust learner timetables using rules on the Load Balancing screen
Generate the timetable
Allocate learners to groups
